Do I need a permit to repair my fence?
According to the City of Altamonte Springs’ own FAQ, replacing slats, panels, chain link or up to two sections (including posts) of an existing fence does not need a permit. Replacing three or more sections including posts, or the support poles themselves, does. We check which side of that line a job falls on before we quote it.
Does my HOA need to approve the work?
Often, yes. Altamonte Springs is roughly 62% multi-family housing -- condos and townhomes -- and several of its subdivisions carry HOA dues into the hundreds a month with architectural-review requirements for exterior changes.
